I asked a number of heath experts the following question…
What’s the one thing you would suggest for people to do to significantly improve their overall health?
I hope you can apply a little something from each of these responses into your own health regime!
Gabrielle Brick – “If there is one thing people can do to significantly improve their overall health, it is to add superfoods to one meal everyday. In all my experience as a health coach and personally over the years with using these foods, I have seen tremendous transformations! It is that simple!!
All you have to do is ADD something superb in nutritional value to your life and in that simple act alone, you will dis-cover a profound and significant transformation in your energy levels, your overall mood, and ability to focus! It’s simple, its inexpensive, and it transforms your life!”
Rich Roll – “Sure thing. If I could give one simple piece of advice it is this: EAT MORE PLANTS!
It’s not about being perfect. And it’s not about counting calories, weighing your food or measuring your ratio of carbs to fats to proteins. In the most basic sense, if you begin to proliferate your meals with a preponderance of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes, prepared close to their natural state, you will have made a giant step forward in terms of improving your long-term health and wellness in a sustainable manner.”
Lori Painter – “One thing to significantly improve one’s overall health would be tuning in and listening within to what the body needs. The mental and emotional anguish of ignoring this can override and block nutrition from penetrating cells.”
Paul Risse – “My answer would be to find their weakness and make it their strength :)”
Jesse Chappus – “Food is the body’s fuel. Nobody would go and put refined sugar or some other garbage in the gas tank of their car but for some reason most people don’t have a problem fueling their bodies with junk. Remove the processed, man made “foods” from your diet and only eat clean whole foods – preferably local and organic. Just Eat Real Food – #JERF. By applying this simple rule to your daily food choices your health will improve dramatically. You can do it!”
Bethanne Wanamaker – “Get honest with yourself. We all really know what serves us best both physically & mentally and if we listen deeply within, the answers are there. Over time, we’ve just gotten quite disconnected to what we need for a wide variety of reasons. Know that complete healing is possible, and extraordinary health is attainable. You have to believe this first, and then begin to take small, bold steps toward reaching the ideal vision of you. Add things in as opposed to removing categories from your diet. Include high level, nutrient-rich foods to your daily life and soon poor habits will begin to fall away. Immerse yourself in the study of holistic health & raw food nutrition, and recognize that one positive change leads to the next and before you know it you have transformed into an even better expression of yourself. Eat real, whole organic foods that grow from our beautiful earth and make your #1 focus getting a massive amount of nutrition into your body. Keep taking forward moving action!”
Diana Stobo – “This is such a great question for mainstream America. People want a simple solution, something that they can do each day that will have a profound affect on their overall health. They want something that won’t overwhelm their life or consume their minds. And, I have an answer that I hope pleases everyone. Have a Green Juice!
That simple, a fresh Green Juice each day, anytime of day, morning, noon or night. Packed full of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, enzymes… all bio-available to the bloodstream the moment it enters your body.”
