Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has an array of healthy uses!
To experience its health benefits you need to make sure you are using a good quality brand of ACV.
I personally recommend Bragg ACV which is organic, raw and unfiltered (with the mother). The mother is the cloudy formation that settles at the bottom of the vinegar between uses. It’s made of plant material and bacteria and it helps produce the vinegar.
Here are 7 healthy uses for apple cider vinegar:
Natural cleaning solution – Most of today’s cleaning solutions are loaded with nasty chemicals. Looking for a non-toxic, all-purpose cleaning solution? Mix together 1 cup of ACV with 2 cups of water. Put this in a spray bottle and away you go!
Lowers blood sugar – A study showed that type 2 diabetics taking 2 tablespoons of ACV before bed had their blood sugar levels lowered by 4-6% in the morning.
Relieves sunburn – A cup of ACV mixed in bathwater has been shown to soothe sunburned skin.
Whitens teeth – Applying ACV directly to stains on your teeth can help with their removal. Rinse your mouth out with water when you are finished.
Cleanse your body and kidneys – Add a tablespoon of ACV to a litre of filtered water and drink it back to help your body detoxify. If you’re really brave you can do a straight up shot of ACV (one or two tablespoons).
Facial toner – You can make your own facial toner using ACV. Dilute some ACV with filtered water in a ratio of 1:2 – ACV to water. This toner is best used after washing your face.
Alkalize your body – Diseases thrive in an acidic environment. Stress, processed foods and exercise (too much or too little) lead to an acidic body. Drink ACV with water or in shot form (as mentioned above) to help alkalize your body.
Try experimenting with apple cider vinegar and see the difference it can make in your health!

Nice post! I also use apple cider vinegar (diluted with water) as a hair conditioner! I first wash my hair with baking soda dissolved in water, and then rinse with the apple cider vinegar. It does wonders!

Apple cider vinegar also has blood thinning properties. At one point in my life, I had been taking an Asprin every few hours due to chest pains. I found out that a teaspoon or two of ACV worked quicker and lasted longer than the Asprin at keeping the chest pains away. It doesn’t matter how much water is added in order to make it drinkable, it will still do the job. It’s easier to swallow and no harmful effects to your stomach. :o)
